The design was inspired by the theme "in search of lost time," drawing from the characteristics of Shenzhen's memory, such as fishing villages and science and technology cities. It combines Lingnan culture and industrial-style metal materials to present a new order form, filled with interesting and meticulous design details.
What sets this design apart is its representation of industrial civilization, integrating humanistic care and natural technology. The hotel is presented to the public as a brand-new establishment that embodies both industrial sense and modernity, interpreting Shenzhen's urban heritage through a vibrant contemporary design vocabulary.
The realization of this design required a careful and orderly process. The lobby walls feature the exquisiteness of brick walls, with all layers following a uniform proportion. Designers and engineers had to ensure the firmness of the brick wall while considering the design effect. Each process was carried out in an orderly manner to verify accurate and precise installation on site.
The design also incorporates extensive floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize the use of natural light, optimizing energy consumption and reducing energy costs for the guest rooms. The hotel covers a total of 15368.8 square meters and is located 30 meters away from the Guanlan exit of Meiguan Highway on the north-south central axis of Shenzhen city.
One of the challenges faced during the design process was the arrangement of a sufficient number of brick walls and the sophisticated workmanship required. Despite these challenges, the design team was able to create a space that not only offers a place to stay but also a place to enjoy art and architecture. The use of local green plants and sustainable materials indoors harmoniously integrates the hotel into the surrounding environment, while also taking the local culture into account to maintain the vitality of development.
In conclusion, Shenzhen Invison is a testament to SSID's innovative spirit and commitment to design excellence. The hotel's design, which reflects the urban heritage of Shenzhen, has earned it the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021. This achievement is a testament to the design's uniqueness and the team's dedication to creating a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
